DHADING, March 4: Dhading Besi, headquarters of Dhading district remained tense over a scuffle between the Nepali Congress and YCL, youth wing of Unified CPN (Maoist), cadres on Thursday morning.
Surendra Tamang, a cadre of Nepali Congress, has been seriously injured.[break]
Police had to fire four rounds of bullet in air and few shells of tear gas to disperse the irate mob.
The reinforcements have been also mobilized to prevent any untoward incident.
Dhading Nepali Congress claimed that YCL cadres attacked Narayan Shrestha, member of district working committee, and NSU member Narayan Tamang on Tuesday.
Tamang’s motorcycle (Ba 35 Pa 9554) was vandalized in the attack, the NC added.
Meanwhile, Unified CPN (Maoist) issuing a press statement on Thursday warned that it would take stern action against the culprit if the local administration fails to bring them to book.
The Maoists have said that their colleague Pratap Singh Tamang was seriously injured in an attack by NC cadre Radha Krishna Bhandari aka Radhe on Tuesday.
