Dhading bus mishap toll reaches four

DHADING, Jan 18:
The death toll from the road mishap, in which a Kathmandu-bound passenger bus plunged into Trishuli River on early Friday, has reached four. 30 others have been injured in the incident.



The deceased have been identified the bus driver named Raj and three Indian nationals--Pramila Devi Singh of  Kajalpur, Baisali, Khusiya Thakur of Chanarmangram and Jakir Husen. [break]



The ill-fated bus (Na 4 Kha 6117) heading to Kathmandu from Birgunj skidded off the road some 25 meters down into the river at around 4 am at Banghemudha along the Prithvi Highway.[break]



According to Area Police Office, Gajuri, the deceased have been identified as two males and a female. Seven of the injured are also reported as in  critical condition.



Earlier,  Nepali Police and Nepal Army personnel with the help of locals rescued the injured.  They have been sent to the Gajuri-based Community Hospital and Kathmandu for treatment.
