KATHMANDU, Aug 15: Deputy Prime Minister Prakash Man Singh on Saturday said that the proposed demarcation of the federal provinces could be amended.

"The concept of six-state federal model has been brought in place, incorporating the aspirations of all Nepalis. At the same time, people of some districts and areas are dissatisfied with the demarcation," said Singh, adding, "The technical process of delineation could be settled through public wishes and the Special Committee meeting would hold to settle the matter."

However, the number of federal states could not be changed, Singh said, speaking at a program organized by the Activist Nepal in the capital today.

He said that the development would be sped up in the country by utilizing country’s resources after issuing the federal democratic republic inclusive constitution.

He stressed on the need to create environment for the utilisation of more than 40 percent youth in the country. RSS
