The visit is being watched with much curiosity as Nepali Congress President Girija Prasad Koirala is receiving treatment at the Gleneagles Hospital in Singapore since Saturday.
Talking to reporters at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) before boarding a plane, Dahal however said the visit was scheduled in the past and was as part of the party´s programs. "But I shall also meet Girijababu there," he said. Party´s foreign department chief Krishna Bahadur Mahara is also accompanying Dahal.
Talking to myrepublica.com, Dr Shekhar Koirala said from Singapore that no schedule was fixed for a meeting between Koirala and Dahal. "We heard about Dahal´s visit just today," said Dr Shekhar Koirala, a nephew of the NC president.
