Dahal, who heads the sub-committee under the Constitutional Committee on settling contentious issues related to the constitution drafting, said important agreement would be reached on key contentious issues within two weeks. He further added that the peace process would move forward on the basis of a modality to be prepared by a taskforce.
Dahal returned Kathmandu after a three-day visit to Singapore after attending a program organized by the Asia Pacific Exchange and Cooperation Foundation.
Saying that his visit was informal, Dahal said that there was no political meeting during his stay in Singapore. During such visits to foreign countries in the past, the Maoist chairman met Indian intelligence officials.
