He had been suffering from high blood pressure, diabetes and kidney-related problems. He is survived by his spouse, two sons and two daughters.[break]
Rana has a special contribution to the communist movement in Nepal. He had served in various party ranks. He was the President of the Bardiya District Development Committee from 2054 to 2059 BS.
According to the party source, his body will be kept at the party office Madannagar, Balkhu, until 3:00 pm today and will be taken to his home town for last rites.
