“Now the election date has been delayed till June. To say that the election will be held in June means the election will never take place. We don’t want to sign on the blank check participating in such an uncertain election,” Gajurel said during a press conference in Bidur on Monday. [break]
He further insisted that an appropriate measure to resolve the current crisis would be calling a round table conference and added that the name of new prime minister and the date of new election could be determined by the same conference.
He was of the opinion that Nepal’s major political parties were controlled by foreign forces and said the parties’ decision to make the chief justice the new executive head was only an act motivated by foreign interests.
