Couple faces one year term for polygamy

DOLAKHA, April 2: Dolakha District Court on Thursday sentenced a local couple here for a one year term and a fine worth Rs 5,000 on the charge of polygamy.



The single bench of judge Ram Chandra Rai issued the order against Shailendra Joshi and his second wife Nisha Rajbhandari of Bhimeshwar Municipality-2 citing the matrimonial section of Muluki Ain.



Shailendra´s first wife Sushila had lodged a writ against them last year.
