Corrupt will be punished: PM

SINDHULIMADI, March 2: Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai has said that peace and good governance would not be maintained until the level of corruption was brought to down.



"Anyone involved in corruption charges by misusing the State coffers will be booked at any expense. The government will not let scot free to corrupt figures either they are under the political protection or others," the Prime Minister said Friday inaugurating the 17th District Council of Sindhuli.[break]



In a separate context, the Prime Minister said the final draft of constitution would be prepared by mid-March after completing the major tasks of peace and constitution writing processes based on political consensus.



The Maoist vice-chairman also pledged to draft the constitution and complete the peace process complying with the people´s expectations.



At the program, Local Development Officer of Sindhuli, Ganesh Gyawali proposed Rs 2.10 billion plus budget for the fiscal year 2069/70.
