Speaking with reporters on Thursday in Biratnagar, Gachchhadar said he had informed to EC about the transfer in writing prior to taking formal decision. [break]
“We had informed EC about the transfer in writing a week before the decision was taken,” Gachchhadar said, “We took the decision after the EC’s consent.”
“A statement issued by the Home Ministry on Wednesday evening will help clear controversy,” the home minister said.
He also claimed that Constituent Assembly (CA) election was not possible without cooperation from police personnel.
Issuing a press statement on Wednesday evening, the home ministry has claimed that high-ranking police officers were transferred as per an understanding with the EC.
