Constitution amendment imperative to clear political stalemate: JSP Chair Yadav

BHAIRAHAWA, Feb 23: Chairman of the Janata Samajbadi Party Nepal Upendra Yadav has said constitution amendment is imperative to clear present political stalemate. 



Speaking at a press meet organized on Monday, Chairman Yadav said that the constitution failed to address the issues of Madhesh people, indigenous, Dalit and oppressed communities. He said the provinces need to be demarcated based on identity so that it would ensure effective enforcement of federalism. 


Chairman Yadav further said provision of directly elected executive president and fully proportional election are other necessities for a stable system in Nepal.

The leader drew the government's attention to why the Gautam Buddha International Airport was not run in a full capacity. He demanded diplomatic and technical interventions from the government to this end. 


Moreover, Yadav argued his party had internalized people's problems in Madhes from the very beginning.
