KATHMANU, Sept 17: UCPN (Maoist) leader Dev Gurung cautioned that the government should not begin regrouping process of the combatants without consulting other political parties as it would be an illegal step and create more suspicions in political circle.

Speaking at a program in the capital on Saturday, Gurung suggested that the government follow the constitution which clearly states all decisions should be taken through consensus among parties. [break]

Terming the four-point agreement between the Maoist and United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) as unpatriotic and against the sovereignty of the country, Gurung demanded that the pact either scrapped or amended.

Gurung who is considered close to Vice-chairman Mohan Baidya faction reiterated that his faction would not join the government unless the government scrap or amend four-point deal and roll back the decision to handover containers keys.
