The heath post was relocated in view of the combatants´ integration into the nation army within a week of its processing. Although the government did not waste time to remove the heath post, it could not conclude the integration process on time leading to much inconvenience.[break]
“Yesterday evening a combatant was injured and he bled profusely, but there was no medicine or even a bandage for treatment,” said Nripa Bahadur Rokaya, assistant commander at the cantonment. “We don´t´ know what to do if communicable diseases like diarrhea or dysentery spreads here,” he added.
“Neither there is health facility, nor is there proper management. When we telephone concerned authorities, nobody responds,” lamented sector sub commander Min Bahadur Bayak.
According to Rokaya, combatants have to walking up to 2 hours to Masuriya market even for minor treatment.
The government had set up a temporary health post in the cantonment right with a doctor and a health practitioner when the camps were set up.
