KATHMANDU, Aug 29: The 28 participants of The College Ambassador 2012 visited Langtang Children Home in Bijeshwori as a part of their training session on Wednesday. The participants introduced themselves to the children and sang the national anthem with them. Aamush Tamang, originally from Dhading and one of the children at the orphanage briefed the participants about the orphanage and the facilities it provides for orphans and handicapped children.

Project Manager at Langtang Children Home, Janak Kapali talked about his vision towards working with the children and helping them in what or who they want to be.

“I am happy to be here. The orphanage is well managed and these kids are looked after really well,” said Nikhil Ghimire, one of the participants visiting the orphanage. Another Participant, Khusboo Pradhan, said, “It’s nice to see people working for these children. But there is still so much that we can do, that can be done.”

Langtang Children Home was started by Janak Kapali in 2005 and it started therapy sessions for handicapped kids only three months back. Currently, there are 30 children and nine handicapped kids under the supervision of the organization.
