Cold claims seven more in Bara, Rautahat

RAJBIRAJ, Jan 10: Seven people have died of cold in Bara and Rautahat districts on Wednesday night.



Five of the deceased are from Rauthat district. They have been identified as Sahodaridevi, 70, of Bariyarpur-2, Shila Kumari, 8, of Banjara-6, Hulal Sahani, 75, of Dharmapur-8,  Batiyadevi, 75, of Bairiya-6 and Jaina Khatun, 70, of Gamhariya-3.[break]



With the five deaths, the toll from cold wave in the district has reached 33, according to Rauthat district police office.



Similarly, Awatar Ram, 70, of Amarpatti-9 and one other whose name is yet to be identified also died in Bara district. The death toll has jumped to eight in the district this season.
