"I was forced to quit from my position due to poor health of my mother. She has now recovered and I hope I will not have to leave the club in the middle of the season this time." KC said that he had accepted the challenge of taking charge of a comparatively weaker side to prove himself. "Had stronger teams asked me to look after the team I would not have accepted," the 52-year old said adding, "I came with the view that I this would be a challenging task which would also be an opportunity."
Opining that no big change was possible within a week KC said, "The league will begin shortly and I don´t want to put pressure on the player. Firstly, I will look at the status of players and will provide special focus to make changes where possible."
KC also clarified that the club doesn´t aim to be the champion this season. "It will be an achievement for the club if it finishes in the top eight." The club had finished 13th among 18 teams in the previous league season.
KC who led the national women´s football team to final of women´s SAFF Champion in the first edition of the tournament and final of 11th South Asian Games said that his salary was yet to be finalized.
Saraswati is the sixth football club that KC will be taking charge of. KC who started his coaching career in club football from 2058 BS had guided Three Star to the league football title in 2060 BS. Under KC´s leadership Three Star also made it to the semifinal of President´s Cup for the first time in 2061 BS.
