"Dr Yadav lauded the efforts of the young entrepreneurs and also appealed them to apply themselves more effectively for transforming the country´s economy," CNI-YEF stated in a press release.
Addressing the delegation, President Dr Yadav also noted that that the youths must assume the leadership and play more meaningful role for socio-economic transformation, especially in the context that the country has just become a republican state and there is a need to achieve revolutionary changes in the economic front.
Kasthamandap launches two new schemes
KATHMANDU, Aug 10: Kasthamandap Development Bank has launched two deposit schemes: Children´s Saving Account and Time Deposit.
Under children´s saving account, customers can open an account with a minimum balance of Rs 500 and will give an annual yield of 7.5 percent. While, under time deposit scheme, an annual interest rate of 10.30 percent has been fixed.
“Under this scheme, customers will have to deposit the money for a minimum of one year and the interest payment will be made in every three months,” says a press statement issued by the bank.
BoK´s new branch in Tikapur
KATHMANDU, Aug 10: Bank of Kathmandu (BoK) has opened a new branch in Tikapur of Kailali district. This is the bank´s 29th branch.
"This branch will provide all modern banking services, including deposits, lending, letter of credit and remittance, among others, to its customers," says a press release issued by the bank on Monday.
The bank currently offers services through 35 points, including 29 branch offices and six counters.
NIC opens new branch in Satdobato
KATHMANDU, Aug 10: NIC Bank has opened its 21st branch office in Satdobato, Lalitpur. This is the bank´s 8th branch in Kathmandu Valley and the new branch is connected to all other branches through a VSAT link, enabling real time connectivity, says a press statement issued by the bank on Monday.
The bank currently has branch offices in Battisputali, Bhaktapur, Kamaladi, Kirtipur, New Road, Pulchowk and Samakhushi in the valley.
The bank, which posted an operating profit of Rs 552 million in the last fiscal year, is soon installing 25 more automated teller machines all over the country.
