Entitled “Golden Moments: Tribute to Rock,” the musical fiesta promises a fascinating evening with performances by a list of Nepali bands.
To be held every weekend from November 19 to December 3 at various venues around the town, the event hopes to make audiences travel back in time and relive the magical, musical moments of classic Rock.[break]
Kick starting the music carnival, Abhaya and the Steam Injuns will be performing classic hits of such rock artists like Janis Joplin on November 19. On November 20, Prism band will take the stage at Bhumi Restro Lounge, Lazimpat, and enthrall audiences with retro rock tunes featuring Elvis, The Beatles, The Doors, and Dire Straits.
It will be Pink Floyd and AC/DC who will be remembered on November 26 at Moksh Restaurant and Bar in Jhamsikhel by Jigme and The Strings. They will be strumming their everlasting tunes and crooning their classic lines.
Then on November 27, it will be Rusty Nails who will play punk rock hits by bands like the Grateful Dead at Cafereena Restaurant and Bar in Durbar Marg.
The grand finale of the “Golden Moments” Rock series will be held at 1905, Kantipath with Abhaya and the Steam Injuns, Prism, Rusty Nails, and Jigme and the Strings jamming in for a night to remember.
Entry to the event is by invitation only, and music lovers are encouraged to make arrangements with the participating restaurants and bars in advance.
Besides an evening of enduring music, participants can win gift hampers by answering questions on rock music.
