Citizens help desk in police office

PANITYANKI,(Morang), Aug 26: District Police Office, Morang has set up a ‘Citizens Help Desk’ as per the directive of the Home Ministry so as to deliver better services to people.



The help desk has been established to understand the problems of service recipients approaching the office, informed Superintendant of Police (SP) Deepak Thapa.[break]



A team will be deputed at the help desk under the command of junior police officer from 8 AM to 6 PM during all working days.



The team is entrusted with the responsibility of providing desk services in an effective and efficient manner, imparting information about complaint application, facilitating service seekers’ understanding on old cases and appeals and receiving information from people.



The Ministry of Home Affairs has come up with the plan to set up help desk as to make services from police offices transparent and accessible.



Meanwhile, police nabbed Satun Khatun Sakuntala Sharma and Dinesh Sahani of Biratnagar-15, and Alin Chaudhary of Biratnagar-18 on the charge of involving in the smuggling of banned drugs marijuana.



Police took them under control with 18 packets of marijuana from Biratnagar-7, Rampur, informed Morang Police.
