According to SSP Shrestha, the former secretary was held for investigations as the recipient of the contract agreement, Thamsherku Trekking Company, was given more land from the Durbarmarg area than the area stated in the notice by the Office of Nepal Trust.

The CIB has stated that an agreement was signed on May 28, 2017 to give an additional land plot to the Thamsherku Trekking Company and the decision was found to be malicious.

Earlier, the then Joint Secretary of Nepal Trust Lekh Bahadur Karki was arrested by the CIB in the same case.
