Issuing a press statement, Spokesperson for the CIAA Sridhar Sapkota informed DOFE officials were involved in a scam to grant permission to 77 persons for the overseas job issuing the papers forged by the manpower agencies on behalf of the latter were fake. Section officers of the DoFE, Nirmala Neupane, Manju Sharma Subedi, Ajita Sharma, Mukti Prasad Khanal, Ganga Bahadur Bhujel, Gyanendra Sharma and Pabitra Kunwar, computer officers Hiradhwaj Karki, non-gazetted first-class staffs Shanker Karki, Ramesh Kumar Adhikary, Yogendra Kumar Adhikary, non-gazetted second-class staffs Madhav Bhattarai, Keshav Banjara, translator Raja Ullaha, computer operators Santosh Subedi, Krishna Prasad Khatiwada and office assistant Yasodha Thapa Magar have been arrested on the charge of irregularities.
Similarly, section officers at the DoFE, Bhojbahadur Aidy, Ramchandra Karkee, Narbahadur Khatiwada, Kamal Bahadur Karkee, Bikram Bahadur Somai, account officer Babuhari Panthi, non-gazetted first-class staffs Ramkumar Ojha, Jaya Bahadur Singh, Lilaraman Pokharel and senior immigration assistants Sanjaya Nepal, Nawaraj Koirala, Rudra Prasad Maraisaini and Chiranjivi Adhikary have been arrested by the CIAA.
"All of them have been kept into the custody. The investigation will be started shortly,” spokesperson Sapkota said.
