KATHMANDU, April 3: Visiting Vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People´s Congress of the People´s Republic of China, Ms. Chen Zhili, paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai at his office at Singha Durbar, on Tuesday.
During the meeting, they discussed the ongoing peace process and constitution writing in Nepal as well as relations between Nepal and China, including topics of mutual interests.[break]
After the meeting, Vice-Chairman Chen said that the discussions were very positive.
She said that Nepal-China ties are unique and added that she is determined to make it cordial.
Chen had arrived on Monday on a five-day visit at the invitation of Vice-Chairwoman of Constituent Assembly, Purna Kumari Subedi.
Similarly, she also met Chairman of the Constituent Assembly (CA), Subas Nembang, at the latter´s office at Singha Durbar in the morning.
During the meeting, they held discussions on ongoing peace process, constitution writing and relations between Nepal and China.
Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, Yang Houlan and senior officers of the Parliament Secretariat were also present at the meeting.
