Chinese assistance to clear blockades along Kodari Highway

Kathmandu, May 3: The Government of China has expressed its willingness to clear the blockades along Kodari Highway caused due to devastative earthquake.

Works to this end will begin on Monday itself.Spokesperson at the Ministry of Home Affairs Laxmiprasad Dhakal said that Chinese side has made commitment to clear the blockades along the highway.

Meanwhile, the Kathmandu-based Embassy of China said that as high as 500 Chinese armed police personnel would be mobilized to clear the blockades.

Likewise, 150 Chinese vehicles have arrived to support the quake affected.

Similarly, some helicopters would be brought to support the ongoing rescue and relief operations, the Chinese side said. RSS
