Childreach team visits government schools for MSMV project

KATHMANDU, Feb 8: Childreach Nepal, a UK based charity organization, with Goodwill Ambassador Malvika Subba visited Yangrima Boarding School in Sermathang of Sindhupalchowk district on January 21 and Chilaune Secondary School in Manikharka of Sindhupalchowk district on January 28 to provide training to teachers and students through the ‘My School My Voice’ project.



Subba conducted life skill training on public speaking, personal presentation, communication and confidence for Class 7 and 8 and the ‘My School, My Voice (MSMV)’ club members at Yangrima Boarding School. Similar training was given to students of class 9 and 10 and MSMV club members at Chilaune Secondary School.[break]

The team also conducted training on child rights, participation and protection; education and health for the MSMV club members and their appointed teachers. The club members will be organizing a campaign to tackle one of the prominent problems of the area over the next four months.



The Childreach Nepal team has conducted similar training programs at Shree Balmiki Lower Secondary School on January 25, Shree Ganesh Secondary School and Shree Nagarkot Lower Secondary School in Nagarkot on February 4 and Budhanilkantha Ashram School, Budhhanilkantha and Jyotidaya Cooperative School, Lalitpur on February 5. They will also be visiting Shree Roshi Secondary School in Kavre.



MSMV program is a platform that encourages child participation and provides trainings to students of eight government schools in Nepal.
