Chand wins 20 km cycling race

KATHMANDU: Captain Rajiv Chand won the 20 km cycling race during the CoAS Trophy organized by Nepal Army Thursday.



Chand finished ahead of Man Bahadur Thapa in the race held from Bhaktapur´s Suryabinayak to Godavari of Lalitpur district. Bikram Rai finished third in the event. Meanwhile, Ram Bahadur Tamang, Buddhi Magar and Ram Bahadur Thapa claimed the top three positions in that order in the 40 km Suryabinayak-Godavari-Suryabinayak cycling race.



Army Chief Gaurav Shumbher Rana inaugurated the race, which was included in the Army´s inter-departmental games for the first time, on Thursday morning.
