Central Region defeated Mid-Western Region 22-25, 25-17, 25-20, 25-17 on Tuesday to enter the last four as the runner-up of Group A. Central Region had defeated Far-Western Region in the first match and lost to Nepal APF Club in the second.[break]
APF, the departmental team, maintained its winning streak in the tournament thrashing Far-Western Region 25-19, 25-15, 25-12 on Tuesday. APF topped Group A with its third consecutive victory.
APF will take on Group B runner-up Nepal Army in the semifinal on Wednesday while Central Region will lock horns with Group B winner Nepal Police Club. Both the semifinal matches are scheduled to be held at the court at Basantapur playground of Tehrathum.
Nepal Police Club also registered its third consecutive win on Tuesday as it thumped lowly Eastern Region 25-15, 25-20, 25-17.
Meanwhile, Nepal Army bounced back from a set down to beat Tribhuvan University in four sets and top Group B. Army, which had earlier defeated Eastern Region and lost to Nepal Police Club, registered a 22-25, 25-8, 25-13, 25-8 victory over TU on Tuesday.
