In this connection, the CC Chairman met with Nepali Congress Parliamentary Party leader Ram Chandra Paudel, today, to draw his attention on the constitution writing at a time when the Constituent Assembly (CA) term has only 53 days to go. [break]
Acharya urged NC leader Paudel to be serious on constitution writing process as the CA term was approaching its end.
During the meeting, NC leader Paudel said they (the political parties) were serious on taking the peace process to its logical end and on writing constitution by holding regular talks.
He added that the constitution writing process would pick up speed once the army integration process was concluded, expressing hope that the army integration process would be concluded within a few days as the political discussion among the parties was intensified.
The leaders are holding discussion on removing the differences among the political parties and also stressed on holding regular discussions to conclude the peace and constitution writing process, said Acharya after the meeting with Paudel.
Acharya stressed on the need of carrying out necessary homework to forge political consensus on the disputed issues seen during the constitution writing process and said that the senior leaders have been positive to this.
The CC Chairman has already met with Chairman of the UCPN-Maoist, Pushpa Kamal Dahal, and President of the CPN (UML), Jhalanath Khanal.
Mainly, the political parties have differences on the state restructuring process, the electoral system, and the form of governance in the Constituent Assembly.
