The cases were lodged against Dipen Limbu, Homnath Limbu, Rajib Limbu, Padam Kumar Shrestha, Mitralal Subba, Mani Kumar Shrestha and Rupen Rai of Deumai Municipality-6.
They were arrested three days ago while fishing in Deumai river in Deumai Municipality and Yektappa VDC and the cases would be forwarded based on Aquatic Life Conservation Act 1961, said Assistant Chief District Officer Sujan Phago.
The administration took such step as fishing in different rivers in the district by supplying current and using explosives has gone up of late. RSS
