BUSINESS BRIEFS: Triveni Bank starts 'cycle to work'

KATHMANDU, March 1: With an objective to control pollution and save fuel, Triveni Bikas Bank has started a special campaign from Friday under which all its staff members will use bicycles to come to work on Fridays.



Issuing a statement, the bank said Sagar Kumar Ghimire, CEO of the bank, inaugurated the campaign and all the 80 staff members of the bank came to work on bicycles on Friday.[break]



Price of Lumia 820, 920 lowered



KATHMANDU: Virgin Mobile has reduced the price of Nokia Lumia 820 and 920. According to a press statement issued on Friday, Lumia 920 and 820 are now available at Rs 56,500 and Rs 41,500, respectively, down from Rs 62,00 and Rs 45,000. This is the second time Virgin Mobile has lowered price of these phones.



"We have reduced the price of Nokia Lumia 820 and 920 so that more people can afford the Windows 8 phone,” Vivek Sharma, director of the company, said in the statement. The company has also introduced a new offer under which it will refund the full amount if customers are not satisfied and return the phones within two days.
