BUSINESS BRIEFS: Syakar opens 5 Honda service stations

KATHMANDU, Aug 29: Syakar Trading Company -- the sole authorized distributor for Honda motorcycles and scooters in Nepal -- has opened five 2S stations (service station along with spare parts facility) in the Kathmandu Valley. Issuing a press statement on Tuesday, the company said with the opening of new service stations Honda customers will get the needed service in their own areas.



Saurabh Jyoti, chairman of Syakar Trading, inaugurated three stations and Shurhid Jyoti, vice chairman of the company inaugurated the remaining stations. [break]



"The service stations have been established to address the growing demands of our valuable customers," the statement said. The newly opened service stations are Auto Engineering and MR Center, Battisputali; Mai Auto Care Center, Kumaripati; T&T Auto Care, Sitapaila; NISI Enterprises, Kupandole; and Friends Auto Link, Pepsicola.


F1Soft nominated for int´l award

KATHMANDU: F1Soft International, a software solution provider, has been selected as a finalist for Red Herring´s Top 100 Asia award, a company statement said on Tuesday. The Red Herring editorial team selected the most innovative companies from a pool of hundreds from across Asia. The nominees are evaluated on both qualitative and quantitative criteria such as financial performance, technology innovation and others, the company said in the statement.



 “We are extremely excited that our work is noticed by the international community and the nomination proves that our innovations and products are in the right directions,” CEO of F1soft International Prabin Raj Pokharel said in the statement.
