Meanwhile, the Malaysian team also held discussion with Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) on the possibility of Malaysian joint investment and technology in Nepal if there is political stability, peace and security.
Pradeep Kumar Shrestha of FNCCI emphasized that Nepal needs economic development experience-sharing, technology and cooperation from Malaysia and suggested the team to explore the possibility of joint investment.
The meeting also had one-to-one interaction on mutual cooperation between FNCCI´s acting committee members, industry professionals and the Malaysian delegation.
ALIC in Hetauda
KATHMANDU, March 23: Asian Life Insurance Company (ALIC) has opened a new branch at Hetauda in Makawanpur district.
The company has managed to open 19 branches and 35 sales offices across the country in just two years of its operation.
The company has issued 102,678 life insurance policies and 255,386 foreign employment insurance policies till date. The company has been able to collect premium of Rs 842.4 million by selling these policies. The company has also been able to make a net profit of Rs 53.3 million.
The company is preparing to shift to its own building in Maitidevi soon.
NBTI´s banking training
KATHMANDU, March 23: National Banking Training Institute (NBTI) organized a two-day training program on ´Leading your way to success´ on Monday and Tuesday.
Issuing a press statement on Tuesday, NBTI said the training was conducted by Simer Jeet Singh from India. Singh is a renowned international motivational speaker and corporate trainer with over a decade of experience in the Middle-East, North America, Europe, Australia and Asia.
“The training programs went better than expected,” Singh said, adding, “There was no problem regarding the language (English) which is usually the reason of the discomfort especially in the Middle-East.”
The program was attended by 27 bankers from 8 commercial banks throughout the country. NBTI is planning to organize several other programs related to core banking activities and managerial skills in the near future.
NMB installs three ATMs
KATHMANDU, March 23: NMB Bank Ltd inaugurated new ATM machines at Durbar Marg, Thamel and Pokhara on Tuesday.
Issuing a press statement, the bank said the ATM machines were brought into operation to provide an easy banking solution to its customers. The bank is planning to add more ATM machines throughout the country in the days to come.
