According to a press statement issued on Thursday, BB Airways and Abacus signed an agreement in this connection last week. “We will provide BB Airways with the best support they need to reach out to their customers in Asia,” the release quoted Ho Hoong Mau, division head, airline distribution of Abacus as saying.
"Nepal is an important emerging market for Abacus and we are glad to play a role to help bring the world closer to it," Mau added. According to the BB Airways, the agreement will also utilize key technology solutions from Abacus to increase the efficiency of its current booking and ticketing processes as well as reach high yield customer segments.
Shisheer Bhatta, managing director of BB Airways said Abacus would help the company to reach out to its customers more effectively. BB Airways commenced operations this year. It has two Boeing 757-200 aircraft and operates on Nepal-Kuala Lumpur route.
NB Bank holds AGM
KATHMANDU: Nepal Bangladesh Bank is raising its authorized capital to Rs 5 billion. The decision was taken during the 17th and 18th annual general meetings of the bank held on Thursday. The bank, which is extending banking services through 19 branch offices, earned a gross profit of Rs 1.03 billion in the last fiscal year. It has so far collected deposits of Rs 16.97 billion. Its non-performing loan stands at 4.29 percent of the credit portfolio.
CG gas geyser hits market
KATHMANDU: CG, a leading domestic consumer electronics brand, has expanded its products portfolio by introducing a new product, CG Gas Geyser, in the market. The CG gas geyser is available in two models, the company said in a press release, adding that both the models are convenient, handy and reasonably priced. The CG gas geysers are equipped with features such as heating efficiency, winter/summer function, auto gas leak protection, digital display, hand shower and child lock, the company said. The geysers, which come in two colors - vibrant white and classic black, are priced in the range of Rs 5,990 to Rs 6,190.
