Bus-hit kills school principal

BIRATNAGAR, July 16: A school principal died on Friday morning after being hit by a passenger bus at Urlabari-6 along the Mangalbare section of the East-West Highway.



The bus (Na 3 Kha 1441) traveling from Rajbiraj to Kakarbhitta hit Prem Raj Bhandari, 52, who died on the spot.



Bhandari, who was the principal of Durga Lower Secondary School located in Mangalbare, was riding a bicycle when the accident took place.



Police have taken the bus and its driver under control.
