Bus crushes student to death

JANAKPUR, Jan 11: An engineering student was crushed to death by a bus at Dhalkebar in Dhanusha district on Wednesday morning.



Ashnarayan Yadav, 18, of Mahadaiyat, Mahottari, was mowed down to death by the passenger bus (Na 3 Kha 6055) en route to Janakpur from Kathmandu this morning. [break]



Yadav died on the spot. The mishap happened when he was gesturing to the speeding bus to stop, police inspector Hiranya Yadav of the Area Police Office, Dhalkebar, said.



Yadav was a student at Purbanchal Engineering College. His body has been sent to the Janakpur zonal hospital for autopsy.
