Hasim Dhobi, 25, was grazing his buffalo on the field when it stepped on a bomb buried under the ground. The animal was killed in the incident while Dhobi sustained injury in his ears. He is kept at Siraha Hospital for treatment.
A police team found five home-made bombs packed in Pan Parag containers while searching the site after the explosion. The explosive devices were powerful, police said.
A bomb disposal team from the Naya Shreenath Battalion of Nepal Army at Choharwa was sent to the site later in the evening.
