British envoy meets Poudel

KATHMANDU, March 15: British Ambassador to Nepal John Tucknott met Nepali Congress (NC) Parliamentary Party leader Ram Chandra Poudel at Singha Darbar on Tuesday.



On the occasion the two held discussion on peace process, constitution writing, integration and rehabilitation of People´s Liberation Army combatants.



After the meeting, Poudel told reporters that he talked with Tucknut about the present political impasse, constitution writing and other contemporary issues.



“Tucknott agreed that until the peace process is taken to the logical conclusion, promulgation of the new constitution is not possible,” said Poudel.



Tucknut said that two armies shouldn´t remain in any country and rehabilitation and integration of PLA combatants should be made on the basis of on the past agreements.
