KATHMANDU, Nov 25: The British Council has decided to support the National Judicial Academy for a 3-year program of English language. Under the plan, the Council will run English classes for judges and court officials.

Dr Andrew Hall, Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Nepal inaugurated the package on Wednesday. “We hope that the program will help judges and court staffs to have access to knowledge and enhance professionalism in Nepal´s judicial sector,” he said.

According to the British Council, the aim of the program is to improve the English language capacity of court staff, so that they are better able to read and understand legal texts concerning law and justice.
