In the second semifinal under women´s category, NASA defeated Whitehouse 37-28 to set up the title clash with title holders Prime who defeated Morgan 53-22 on Saturday in the first semifinal. [break]
NASA took a seven-point lead in the first and third quarter each to shape their victory with the score 10-3, 15-8. Whitehouse were ahead in the second quarter with two points and in the last quarter with three points but it was not enough for them to avoid the defeat with the score of 8-6, 9-6.
Rajina Gurung of NASA and Merina KC of Whitehouse netted 12 points apiece for the team.
In the second semifinal under men´s category, NASA put a brake on Pentagon´s run in the high scoring match with the score of 95-72. Robin Khatri topscored with 41 points for NASA while Wisdom Pandey contributed 14 points for Pentagon.
Now NASA will meet defending champions and two-time title holders Golden Gate in the final. Golden Gate coasted past Whitehouse 93-83 in the first semifinal on Saturday.
In course of their victory, NASA dominated the match from the beginning and led the first three quarters 20-14, 23-13, 31-13 but were behind by 11 points in the last quarter with the score of 21-32.
The final matches will be held on Monday.
