Booklet for Gurkhas

KATHMANDU, April 11: In a bid to assist former British Gurkha soldiers and their families seeking to settle in the United Kingdom, the Gurkha Settlement Office (GSO) set up in Kathmandu launched a new booklet on Sunday.



The booklet entitled ´Life in the UK´, supported by the UK Border Agency, contains essential details about living in the UK and lots of useful hints and tips and website addresses where former Gurkha soldiers and their eligible dependents can find additional information.



With the announcements by the UK government in May that all ex-Gurkhas, who served in the British Army for more than four years and retired before 1 July 1997, and their eligible dependents enjoy the rights to apply for settlement.
