LAHAN, Dec 18: The body of a man was found this morning in a pond located at Bakhair, Dhangadhimai Municipality–1 of Siraha district.
The deceased has been identified as around 38-year-old Pashupati Yadav of Jaipur, Dhangadhimai Municipality–4. He had been out of contact since Saturday evening.

According to local resident Brahma Dev Yadav, locals spotted the body in the pond on Sunday morning and immediately informed local representatives and the police. “As soon as the body was seen in the pond, the police were informed and they reached the site,” he said.
After confirming the identity, the police notified the deceased’s family. A team from the Area Police Office, Lahan, reached the scene, completed the preliminary procedures, and has initiated further investigation.
Police said that since the body of a missing person was found in a pond, the matter is being investigated further. Preparations are underway to send the body for post-mortem examination.
