Bodies of five Nepalis handed over

MAHENDRANAGAR, July 25: The bodies of the five Nepalis, who died from an electric shock on Sunday evening, have been handed over to the Nepali authority on Monday morning.



The Indian police  handed over the bodies to Nepali police personnel at the Indo-Nepal border checkpoint in Gaddachowki. [break]



The relatives of the deceased have received the bodies. The deceased are: Sukhram Chaudhary, 23 of Kailali Phulbari-6, Bam Bahadur Chaudhary, 30 of Kailali Hasuliya-1, Manoj Chaudhary, 17 of Kailali Shankarpur-7, Dan Bahadur Khati,23 of Salyan Kalimati and Sher Bahadur Adhikari of Jajarkot Punma-2.



They left for Shimla on Saturday from Kailali. 12 more have been severely injured after being hit by an electric shock of 11 thousand volts while trying to climb on the bus.



The injured are going under treatment at a community hospital in Bikasnagar. Assistant Sub-Inspector Sudhir Kumar of Bikasnagar police station said, "They died when an electric wire touched them while they were trying to climb the bus, they tried to save each other which resulted in more casualties."



The accident site is 35 kilometers away from Dehradun.



There were 44 Nepalis from Jajarkot and 17 Nepalis from Salyan in the bus.
