Speaking to journalists at Nepalgunj Airport this morning, Bhattarai accused the India of imposing hegemony over Nepal for the last 200 years."The ongoing blockade is a form of its hegemony over Nepal and there is no other alternative then to be uniting one and all national forces to fight against it," Bhattarai argued.
Acknowledging that country has finally succeeded to promulgate new constitution after long struggle, Bhattarai credited himself as a successful person for playing role in it.
On the occasion, Bhattarai, who recently quit UCMN (Maoist) party, also underscored the incorporation of demands of the Madhesis, Tharu and Indigenous communities in the constitution.
Claiming that that priority of the country should be on development and prosperity from now onward, Bhattarai also stressed on the need of new political forces in the country. He went on to say that new political forces will emerge soon.
Bhattarai, who is currently in the visit of western districts, is returning Kathmandu today.
