Poor villagers construct the gas plants after they get the grant for the construction and some others have invested themselves after they found the plant helpful for their daily needs.
It helped the afforestation program since the villagers have an alternative source of fuel for fire. It has saved the time and health of rural women.
Around 10,000 people in the district have connected the gas plants, said Dev Lal Panta of Nepal Bio-gas Promotion Association.
The association has planned to distribute around 2,500 gas-plants in the district. Some 17 branches of nine companies have been working in the Far-Western Development Region toward getting grant from the government.
