Big three parties to organize special celebration on Sept 21

KATHMANDU, Sept 19: The top three political parties - Nepali Congress, CPN-UML and the UCPN (Maoist) - will jointly organize a special celebration in the capital at 1 pm on Monday to mark the promulgation of the new constitution.

President Ram Baran Yadav will announce the promulgation of the new constitution at 5 pm Sunday. The top leaders of the three parties will address the mass meeting, said NC General Secretary Krishna Prasad Sitaula.


Sitaula also appealed to the public to participate in the mass meeting. Prime Minister and NC President Sushil Koirala, CPN –UML Chairman KP Oli and UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal will put forth their views on the salient features of the constitution.

 The three political parties have already issued separate statements urging the party cadres and public to light lamps to celebrate the advent of the new constitution. RSS
