Speaking to media persons in Pokhara Monday, Nepal said, “It is weakness on the part of the big four parties to ignore the party run by around 92 former lawmakers.”
He also said that the big parties made a mistake by not involving Baidya´s party while deciding to issue ordinance on removing constitutional difficulties, and declaring election date. He urged the parties to work for bringing Baidya´s party on board the election process. [break]
“Baidya´s party should be included in the poll process without deferring the date of the CA elections," said Nepal, claiming, "Majority of the leaders of Baidya´s party want to join the election process." He said he hopes Baidya´s party will ultimately participate in the elections and urged the leaders of the High-level Political Committee to maintain maximum possible flexibility for reaching agreement with Baidya.
On a different note, he said, he will contest the CA elections from two constituencies -- one from Rauthat and the other from Kathmandu. He claimed that the voters have assured him of victory. He also said that his party always stands for a federal constitution and identity-based nationality.
On the recent launching of the Female Youth Force by the CPN-UML, Nepal said it was a wrong decision. He also said that CPN-UML will not give political protection to gangsters like Parashuram Basnet and Dinesh Adhikari among others.
