Bhuwan carded three-under 69 for the 36-hole total score of seven-under 137. Bhuwan, the overnight joint leader along with Shiva Ram, had carded four-under 68 on the first day.Shiva Ram, the No 1 pro of Nepal, played even-par 72 for the total score of four-under 140. Sanjay Lama sits third at one-under 143 after second day card of one-under 71. Second ranked Rabi Khadka (70) is fourth at even-par 144.
Three pros, Ramesh Adhikari (72), Bal Bhadra Rai (74) and Rame Magar (73) jointly share fifth position at one-over 145 while Surya Prasad Sharma is eighth at 146, one stroke ahead of Jayaram Shrestha (77). Bikash Bogati and Prasanna Upreti share the 10th position at 148.
The cut was applied at 21-over 161 with 22 players making it to the last two rounds. Deepak Magar, Ramesh Nagarkoti, Ram Krishna Shrestha, Pashupati Paneru, Dinesh Prajapati, Shivaram Poudel, Yelember Adhikary, Dhana Bahadur Thapa, Pradeep Kumar Lama, Bikash Adhikary and Ashish Pariyar made the cut.
Leader Bhuwan played one-over 37 on the front nine and carded four-under 32 on the back nine. He carded two birdies on the first and third holes against three bogeys on the second, eighth and ninth holes. After taking the turn, Bhuwan shot four birdies on the 10th, 12th, 17th and 18th holes in the bogey-free back nine.
Shiva Ram, shot two-over 38 on the front nine and carded two-under 34 on the back nine. He started the day with a bogey and suffered a double bogey on the seventh hole against a lone birdie on the ninth hole. Shiva Ram then carded birdies on the 11th, 12th and 18th holes against a bogey on the 16th hole.
Three amateur players also survived the cut and qualified for the final two rounds. Prithivi Malla moved atop the standing after he played two-over 74 for a total score of seven-over 151. He is four-strokes ahead after overnight leader Nischaya Jung Rayamajhi, who faltered to eight-over 80. Tenzing Tsering is third at 158 after he played five-over 77.
