KATHMANDU, Aug 30: UCPN (Maoist) senior leader Baburam Bhattarai reached Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) on Sunday morning to take stock of health condition of Dr Govinda KC.

On the occasion, leader Bhattarai expressed his solidarity to demands put forth by Dr KC's and said he will raise his agendas in a meeting of four parties.

Senior Orthopedic at TUTH Dr KC’s fast-unto-death has entered seventh day today, but the government seems reluctant to address his demands.

Dr KC, who has already staged fast-unto-death five times in the past, has put forward an eight-point demand this time that includes full implementation of the Mathema taskforce's report and other past accords. He has demanded that the cabinet endorse the Mathema taskforce's report and take steps for forming policies to implement it.

Meanwhile, the government said that it has already fulfilled some of the demands put forth by Dr KC and has started discussion to implement the remaining suggestions of the taskforce.
