Many workers, who had arrived in Nepal to meet their families, have returned to India after spending much of their money to stay in hotels during their stay in Dhangadi.
Many passengers, who have been stranded for the past two weeks, have been forced to spend nights under the open sky on empty stomach due to lack of money.
With the far-west banda continuing for the 16th day on Saturday, the region is reeling under shortage of food, salt and oil while hospitals face scarcity of life-saving medicines.
