KATHMANDU, Feb 28: Normal life in Rapti and Lumbini Zones was hit hard on Tuesday due to a strike called by People´s Front Nepal. All businesses, academic institutions remained shut while vehicles chose to remain off the road on Tuesday.

PFN called the shutdown to protest the CA decision to turn the country a republic.

The party has been maintaining that country like Nepal cannot afford federalism and that it would affect the country´s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

According to reports from Palpa, PFN cadres had pelted stones at four tourist buses in Burtun area of Tansen.
