Ban on production of 2 cement factories

BIRGUNJ, Feb 20: The production of two cement factories based in Parsa has been banned for breaching the stipulated standard in production.



The Department of Quality Control and Measurement has imposed ban on the production of the Shree Cements and Ambe Cement for defrauding customers by producing cements against the stated standard.[break]



The Department has sealed and banned production of the two cement factories for a time being for further investigation since the factories were found not abiding by the standard during the recent monitoring, said the Quality Control and Measurement Office, Birgunj sources.



According to the sources, the Department has also sought clarification from factories owners. A process for further action will take place once the clarifications are received.
